Recommended places to visit in Zante
Navagio Beach, or the Shipwreck, is an isolated sandy cove on Zakynthos island and one of the most famous beaches in Greece. It is notable because it is home to the wreck of the alleged smuggler ship Panagiotis; thus, it is often referred to as 'Smugglers Cove'.
What makes the Blue Caves distinct, apart from their morphology, is the deep blue color of the water inside the caves as well as the innumerable corals in purple and orange shades. Those who dare to swim in their cold blue waters will experience an unforgettable holiday experience.
The Vasilikos peninsula is located on the southwest side of the island and is one of the most beautiful areas. With lush vegetation, spectacular beaches and splendid views of the Peloponnese, especially during sunrise, it is definete that you will be amazed. Vasilikos is small and sparsely populated. It's distance from Zakynthos Center is 15 km.
Bohali is located on Lofos hill in Zakynthos, a few hundred meters from the city. During the Venetian occupation, but also in the recent years, it was the aristocratic area of the island of Zakynthos. It still retains elements of this period. From Bochali you can admire the view to the city of Zakynthos, and from there you can visit the Castle of the island, located at a distance of 100 meters from the village, at the highest point of the hill.
